My research interest lies in characterisation and phenomenological modelling of functional materials such as ferroelectrics, ferromagnetics, and shape memory alloys. Models are developed with the idea in mind that these can be implemented in finite element analysis for solving boundary value problems.

As few simple rules in microscopic level (or even smaller) in the materials provide an illustration for the interesting phenomena in macroscale, I am also interested to work in multiscale modelling approach which bridge the behaviours in various dimensions.
